Scripture:
2 Timothy 3:1-4 But mark this; There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.
Observation:
Paul is telling Timothy in this letter to be wary of the godlessness that will happen in the last days. He starts by saying "listen here": the last days will be marked by ungodly people full of pride and self-gratification rather than seeking self-righteousness through the glory of God.
Application:
These four verses can only make me think of our current times. These godless acts that Paul mentions are all around us. I pray for those who know not about what is about to happen. "Glory to God," as this is an exciting time for those who have been saved, and I can't wait to bow down to my Messiah.
Prayer:
Father, I give You all the glory and praise. I pray that You enable those who know not You to find You, and accept You as their Lord and Savior. Please continue to open my eyes and continue to guide me. Lord, thank You for all that You do, and I love You - Amen.
