Scripture:

Ephesians 4:13 ...until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Observation:

I am so intrigued by this verse. Is it really possible to attain the whole measure of the fullness of Christ? Paul talks about us being prepared for service, so that the body of Christ can be built up...until we attain fullness of Christ. Can it be possible?

Application:

I love to think that this would be possible, but even if I spend my whole life striving and yearning for the fullness of Christ and don't get it until heaven, I don't think I would be sorry! Paul goes on to say that in order to do this, we basically need to die to ourselves. I need to put off my old self and put on the new self, created to be like God in holiness. It's easier said than done, but I do believe it is possible! For me, it can be possible!

Prayer:

Jesus, please write this on my heart. Let this stick with me day after day. Help me make decisions that would follow Your standard of holiness for me. I desire to see the whole measure of fullness in You. Keep me close to Your heart and help my disciplines with Bible reading and worship time with You. I love You so much!
