Scripture:
Romans 11:28 & 29 28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs. 29 for God's gifts and His call are irrevocable.
Observation:
God had mercy on the Gentiles because the Jews have rebelled against God. But just as God had mercy on the Gentiles, He will also have mercy on the Jews, so that all will share in His mercy, because His promise can never be withdrawn.
Application:
The Lord has been merciful and kind to me even when I don't deserve it. But He has given me a taste of His sweet Spirit, and the more I taste, the more I long to be closer to Him. It's like needing a drink, and He gives me enough to wet my tongue, but the more I ask and seek, the more He quenches my thirst, all because of His promise.
Prayer:
I pray that I hunger and thirst for Your presence continually, that there never be a dry well. Thank You for Your sweet Spirit, and I ask for more, Lord. Amen.
