Scripture:
Ephesians 5:1-2 Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Observation:
God loves us so much that He gave up His son, and Jesus loved us so much He gave up His life for us. How many of us would give up our life tomorrow morning for someone else – especially a stranger? Is that the love this scripture is speaking of?
Application:
I love those close to me, but don’t live a life of love – unconditional love of my fellowman. Through the realization of reading the above scripture and giving serious thought – this is something I need to work on.
Prayer:
Lord, I need Your help in learning unconditional love – love that Jesus demonstrated. Give me the heart and strength to love like Jesus. Let the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, Lord. I thank You for my blessings and lift up those who are less fortunate. Amen
Ray, I got way convicted reading your blog. It's so true--give my life for a stranger? Wow.
