Scripture:

1 Peter 2:11-12 Dear friends, I urge you , as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. 12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.

Observation:

Continue to seek God in all you do, even when the world seems to be crashing down around you. Don't take the easy way out. Be obedient to what God has for you and work hard not to sin, so that when He comes others may see your good and praise God.

Application:

Being different can be hard, especially when you've be one way for so long. Then you get a taste of what God is all about and He starts to change you. Your family and friends notice, and maybe not always liking the results. So I like the idea of being an alien. It helps me to remember who I am in Christ. It sets me apart from the ugly and bad of my past, and that helps me not want to live a sinful life.

Prayer:

Lord, help me in this journey. I am weak and unsure of things. I want to be a living example of Your love, and many days I find that hard to do. I pray for a better understanding of Your love, so that others may come to know You and find that unconditional love. Amen
