Scripture:

Hebrews 6:7-8 Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.

Observation:

This book by an unknown author is telling the Roman Christians the receiving the Word (rain) can either produce a crop that is blessed by God – or a crop that is worthless and will be burned. It is encouraging them to be steadfast Christians.
How we receive the Word and use it determines what we will harvest.

Application:

In my reading of the Word and applying it to my life I will be a positive influence on my family and community.

Prayer:

Father, I pray that the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart are for Your service and acceptable in Your sight. I thank You for my many blessings. Amen

  1. That is one powerful scripture! Wow! Lord, may I produce a crop that's useful to others--Your kingdom is all that matters.
