Scripture:
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his son, purifies us from all sin.
Observation:
John is saying in this message that the lord gives a new life to those who believe; that light and darkness cannot be unified as there is no such thing as dark and light together; that if we walk in the light, we can have fellowship with one another and Him. And this is because of Jesus, who died for our sins…my sins.
Application:
Reading this scripture really made me think, and it touched me. Every day I give thanks that Jesus died for my sins (darkness) and that through His blood, I can be saved. I know that He pursues me with a vengeance and continues to love me, even after my faults. We have an awesome God.
Prayer:
Dear Father, I am so thankful that You forgive my inequity and continue to pursue me as one of Your children. Even when I linger over to the darkness, Your love continues to be there for me like a rock. You’re such an amazing God, and I give You all the praise and glory - Amen.
Loved your comments, Chris! So encouraging that He pursues me! Ah, Lord, You are TOO good!
ReplyDeleteI think the little line in that verse that's interesting, too, is that if we walk in the light, we'll have fellowship with one another, which leads me to believe that if we AREN'T walking in the light, well,...easy conclusion there.
