Scripture:

John 16:12-14 I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you.

Observation:

How gracious God is not to place me under the full burden of ALL TRUTH all at once. In John 14:6 Jesus calls Himself the Truth. I am like Moses in the cleft of the rock whom God has to protect from His face. But at the same time, the work of the Holy Spirit is to guide me into all truth and by doing so, bring glory to Christ.

Application:

I can have a part in bringing glory to Christ by simply learning more truth. Sweet. That is easy. However, the more truth I know, the more I am required to change... but, with the Holy Spirit I am changeable. Can I see the Face of the Lord?

Prayer:

Spirit, guide me into all truth. Allow me to be a part in bringing glory to Christ. Like Moses, I want to see Your face. I realize that this is going to require me to change. Help me to be changeable.
