Scripture:

John 20:21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”

Observation:

Jesus appeared to His disciples and gave them their orders to go forth and spread the Word of God to all of the people that they met. And Jesus breathed on His disciples, giving them His Holy Spirit, which I believe enabled His disciples to heal others in Jesus’ name.

Application:

Isn’t part of our church motto titled “Live It Out!”? Aren’t we to spread God’s Word just as Jesus told the disciples to do? Our orders are just as the disciples were, and with the Holy Spirit inside of us, we can heal people today as well. Through us the Holy Spirit can heal their hearts, their doubts, their confusion, and bring the truth of God’s love to all of the people that we meet.

Prayer:

Lord, send me forward just as You did Your disciples so that I’ll be able to show Your love to others. Help me live out Your desire daily, Lord. Amen
