Scripture:
Ez 34:11 For this is what the Sovereign Lord says, I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. As a sheperd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness. I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land. I will pasture them on the mountains of Isreal, in the ravines and all the settlements in the land. I will tend them in a good pasture, and the mountain heights of Isreal will be their grazing land. There they will lie down in good grazing land, and there they will feed in a rich pasture on the mountains of Isreal. I myself will tend my sheep and have them lie down, declares the Sovereign Lord. I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and the strong I will destroy, I will shepherd the flock with justice.
Observation:
Wow, what an awesome God. The King of all kings and Lord of all lords will come and shepherd the flock Himself! Not only that, but He will feed them rich food and give them the best of land to live in. Then He will give them rest, search for the lost ones and bring them home. He binds up the injured (heals the broken) and gives strength to the weak.
Application:
He truly is my Abba Father, my Heavenly Daddy. He cares for me, and also is just and righteous in His acts. He disciplines me, oh how I need that.
Prayer:
Jesus, Thank You that You love me enough to give me blessing after blessing. You are there speaking to me, guiding me through the storms. You give me brothers and sisters in Christ that keep me accountable and lift me up when I need it. I am so thankful for Your righteousness and strength, I know the true source of strength can only come from You. I know that You are the shepherd that leads the flock and gives rest. Show us all the way, dear Lord. We need You every step!
