Scripture:
Revelations 14:14-16 I looked. And there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was the one “like a son of man” with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, “Take your sickle and reap, because the time has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth and the earth was harvested.
Observation:
This is the image (given to us by John) of Christ sitting in judgment over us - harvesting faithful Christians. We should look forward to the harvest as we will be crossing over from death to life everlasting.
Application:
I believe Jesus is my Savior, friend and judge. I seek to be judged big enough to keep. Work is yet to be done and He will give me the strength to do it.
Prayer:
Lord, You know my strengths and weaknesses. I stand before you humble and determined to enter Your kingdom. Lead me as You will to be Your servant and give me the strength to follow. Amen
"...determined to enter Your kingdom." I like it, Ray. I'm determined not to miss it, either. :)
