Scripture:

Luke 21:14-15 But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.

Observation:

Jesus is talking about the end times and how we need to rely on Him to equip us with all the tools we will need to stay close to Him and keep sharing the Good News through all the persecution. He talks about making up our minds beforehand. Don't go into something already fearing what will happen. We are stronger than that. We have the Father of the Universe in us! We can conquer anything.

Application:

For me, this really showed me how, as Christians, sometimes we can be so small in our impact on the world. In the big picture, we are the only ones who have the answer for the whole world! Yet, I walk through my days anticipating things to worry about and not trusting that my God will give me the words and wisdom to share and overcome my adversaries. Instead, I need to put worry and fear aside; this is the time when I need to be putting on the full armor of God daily and stepping out in complete faith sharing His Power and Love!

Prayer:

Lord, make this real in my heart. Help me wake up each morning with Your Kingdom in mind. I want to share You with as many people as I can, and with worry and fear, that will not happen. I ask that You help me keep my mind in check and always direct it back to You and Your path for me. I love You so much, Father. Thank You for Your Living Word. Amen.
