Scripture:

Psalm 126:5-6 Those who sow in tears, will reap with songs of joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy.

Observation:

Wouldn’t our times of turmoil be lightened if we could just remember that our tears can be turned to joy? And if we continue to plant the seeds of God to others, then the blooms of joy will grow in us.

Application:

When I read this verse, I couldn’t help but be reminded of my stepson, who is in prison. He calls us constantly and tells us of his Bible studies and church groups, and when he speaks, there is a joy in his voice, the joy that only comes from seeking and spreading God’s love. Then we are filled with joy and if you are reading this, I pray you are filled with joy.

Prayer:

Thank You, Lord, for letting us experience Your joy, no matter what the circumstances. Amen
