Scripture:
Matthew 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Observation:
Jesus is telling the disciples how to pray and that the relationship that is built with the Father is one of love, humbleness, respect, worship, and adoration. The Father will hear our prayers and will reward us, though to be humble in who we are and how we pray.
Application:
How great and awesome is it that I can have this type of relationship with my Father. That He loves me so much, that I can pray to Him and He will hear my prayers. I don't have to be boastful to anyone! God knows who I am, and what my needs are. It's so much simpler than what the world makes of it.
Prayer:
Dear Father, You are so mighty and love me so much. You want to have a relationship with me, and I am humbled. Thank You, Lord, for all You provide me, and the opportunities to share with others Your love, and the rewards we have to look forward to. I love You, Lord. Amen
