Scripture:

Matthew 26:41, " Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak."

Observation:

Jesus has come back from praying and has found the disciples sleeping. He is giving them a warning.

Application:

It is a daily battle for me to stay focused on Christ. I love Him and want to serve Him, but my daily wants, needs, and desires somehow take precedence. It really grieves my heart. Being disciplined in my reading of the Word and prayer is huge for me; when I don't do it, my life reflects it. Jesus knows this, and just like He told the disciples on that day, it's as if He were saying it to me.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for Your Word. Help me to be disciplined to read Your Word and pray. Thank You for loving me enough to die for me. I love You, Lord. Amen.
