Scripture:
1 Thessalonians 4:1 Finally, then, brothers, we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and please God, just as you are doing, that you do so more and more.
Observation:
The early church was taught by its leadership to conduct themselves in daily life in a manner which pleases God. It is encouraging to see that is the way Paul taught those he ministered to.
Application:
To "please God." What a wonderful concept in light of all He has done for me. What an excellent measuring line to all that I do and think.
Prayer:
Father, let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing to You. Help my eyes to see and my ears to hear. Help my heart to love to do Your will. Amen.
