Scripture:
1 Cor. 4:4-5 My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men’s hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.
Observation:
Paul tells us that no matter how we view ourselves, what really matters is how God will judge us. We may fool ourselves and others, but we will not fool God.
Application:
My sins are forgiven. My conscience is clear. God will judge me. When that judgment comes, I want to be accepted into His kingdom. I will live my life knowing that day will come – and I look forward to it.
Prayer:
Lord, I pray that I will be judged good enough to keep. I pray that those that do not know Jesus and understand judgment day will have an awakening and change their lives so that they, too, will be allowed into Your kingdom. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen
I hope I'm a "keeper" too, Ray. Great blog.
