Scripture:
John 15:12-15 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
Observation:
Jesus is relaying to His disciples how to bear fruit and live a life for God: Keeping His commands to love one another as He has loved them. And that they must always have Jesus in their hearts and in their daily walk, so as not to be set apart from Him.
Application:
Being in the Word everyday is a must. Keeping in good company. Loving others no matter where they are in their lives. Speaking God's truth and sharing His love with others. This is my commitment to God and to my friends, whom I love dearly.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to be honest and true with myself in keeping this commitment to You. Show me how to share with my heart the desires of Your heart. I pray for a divine appointment each day that will allow me to share God with someone in need of hearing about the love You have for them. Thank You for being my Friend. Amen
Beautiful blog, Marie. Your love for God and people always shines through. I think that's why I love you so much! :)
