Scripture:

Exodus 3: 10-12 So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring My people the Israelites out of Egypt. 11 But Moses said to God, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?" And God said, "I will be with you. 12 And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain."

Observation:

God is going to do a miracle and wants to use Moses to make it happen. A normal human response: Who am I to so something like that? But when God says I will be with you, it seems to satisfy Moses. He may still doubt his abilities to do such a big thing, but he doesn't doubt that God will be with him.

Application:

I want to feel that calmness in my heart when God says: Go talk to that person on my behalf; I will be with you." Even if I can't feel the calmness, will I go and do what God asked of me, or will I turn and go the other way?

Prayer:

Lord, help me to always remember that You are always with me in all I do. Help me to never doubt this and to know that all things are possible with You. I love You, Amen.

    Mike, so many people never touch the Old Testament because they think it doesn't apply to their lives today. If they could read things like this, they would know that's so not true! Thanks for being vulnerable, thoughtful, and practical in your writing.
