Scripture:
Acts 13:32 - "We tell you the good news: What God promised our fathers."
Observation:
All through Acts, Luke tells of how the disciples went out into the world and preached the Good News. They were never ashamed about the message they had, nor sidetracked from their purpose and calling. They just told everyone, Jews and Gentiles, the message of Jesus their Saviour.
Application:
It really is that simple. "I'm here to tell you the good news: God has promised us eternal life with Him." That is not very hard to say. It's even easier to say when we look at faces everyday that have no idea who He is and what His promises mean to them. I should be telling everyone about Him, not getting sidetracked and definitely never being ashamed.
Prayer:
Jesus, help me to be a bold and risky Christian. Help me follow Your leading in what and when to tell people Your message of hope and love. I know I am only here for a short time. Let me make You proud and do what You have set me out to do...tell of Your good news. Thank You for loving me like You do. Keep me close to Your heart and Your mind. Amen.
