Scripture:

Leviticus 26:12-13 "I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people. I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians; I broke the bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk with heads held high."

Observation:

Throughout chapter 26, the Lord promises to bless those who will follow His decrees. He even promises to walk among them. At the end of the chapter, in verse 13, He reminds them of His power and that He freed them from Egypt.

Application:

The same God that came as a pillar of fire to defend His people, the same God that parted the Red Sea and delivered the Hebrew nation from Egypt, is continually setting me free from my captivity. He will come in power to deliver me if I set my heart on following His decrees, which is really just having a full relationship with Him.

Prayer:

Oh Lord, how I need relationship with You. Continue to come in power to refine and release me from captivity in sin to greater depths of intimacy with You.

  1. SO interesting that you used the short phrase "His decrees" in your blog today! That's the title of my message on Sunday!
