Scripture:

Deuteronomy 11:8 "You shall therefore keep every commandment which I am commanding you today, so that you may be strong and go in and possess the land into which you are about to cross to possess it; so that you may prolong your days on the land which the Lord swore to your father to give to them and to their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey.

Observation:

This is just more evidence that all that the Lord commands and does is for our good. He orders them to keep His commands. Not because He is demanding and arrogant but so that they may "be strong and go in and possess the land" and that they will "prolong their days on the land." God has the successful end result of His promise to them in mind.

Application:

Trusting Him is perhaps the essence of real worship; that I always believe that His purposes and commandments are best is part of that trust. And that I believe in His good and infinitely wise intentions for me is important and an exaltation of who He is.

Prayer:

Father, help me see that what You command and do in my life is part of a journey to the fulfillment of my destiny and the promises You have given. Help me worship You by always trusting in Your goodness.
