Scripture:

Mark 10:15-16 "'I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.' And He took the children in His arms, put His hands on them and blessed them."

Observation:

Jesus loved how the children selflessly and openly wanted to be around Him. There was no agenda or pride in being with Him. The disciples did not want the children to be a nuisance or take Jesus' attention away from them.

Application:

If we could all learn to love and receive each other the way that children do, I think that we would all be so much happier. Children believe in things with the purest intentions and faith. I wish that I could still believe in things the way I did when I was younger. But life has taught us that believing in things that we cannot see or feel is nothing but a farce or a let down. But that is the awesome thing about our God; HE is real. Though I cannot see Him, I know He is there. Though I cannot feel Him directly, I have felt the warmth of His love in the sunshine and in the darkness. I know He is real and that He has wonderful plans for me, but I always have room to stretch and receive more childlike faith.

Prayer:

Father, I love You. I love that You are always near; that You care about me. Thank You for comforting me when I am hurting. Though I know that You are always here, please continue to give me the eyes and heart of a faithful child. I want my love and belief in You to only increase. I love You.
