Scripture:

Deuteronomy 4:5-7 5 See, I have taught you decrees and laws as the LORD my God commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land you are entering to take possession of it. 6 Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.” 7 What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the LORD our God is near us whenever we pray to him?

Observation:

The Lord has given us rules and instructions to live by so that we will be prosperous and influence others around us for His Kingdom. How blessed are we to have a GOD who can hear us and is with us and knows what we need?!

Application:

Whether we realize it or not, as Christians...we're being watched: our actions and our words. With this series that Pastor Randy is teaching, I have been so much more AWARE of this. I catch myself...did I really just honk at the person for pulling out in front of me?! Or why did I get impatient with that cashier for taking too long? These are not actions of someone who is trying to expand the Kingdom. We have been given instructions so that we can serve Him and love His children. I want people to see Christ in me so that they want what I have! How AMAZING is our God that He is there when we call...in this broken place that is currently our home...I want others to know that God is a gracious God who can heal them, provide for them, protect them and love them UNCONDITIONALLY!

Prayer:

Lord, continue to break me. In everything I do, I want Your light to be seen. Help me to fullfill Your purpose for my life by expanding Your Kingdom, laying my selfishness aside and loving on YOUR KIDS!
