Scripture:

Matthew 13:33 He told them still another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.”

Observation:

It would have taken time and care for yeast to work in 60 pounds of flour. Eventually the yeast would proliferate though out the massive amount of flour, transforming the raw ingredients into bread dough.

Application:

With time and care, the Kingdom of God will work in me, transforming me from the raw person that I was into something useful for the Kingdom. If I allow it, eventually every part of my being will be changed, made new.

Prayer:

Lord, allow Your Kingdom to change me. Let me not grow cold and callous toward Your working hand.
