Scripture:

Psalm 9:1  I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.

Observation:

When we remember God’s wonderful deeds towards us it causes us to be able to give thanks to Lord with our whole heart. This kind of remembering and thanksgiving grows a deep trust and faith in God that cannot be shaken. We lose our way when don’t remember His deeds and easily fall into fear, bitterness, and selfishness. True thankfulness is a sight to behold in someone; they stick out like a sore thumb. They are like a magnet; you just can’t get enough of them. That’s Jesus! Storm or Calm, they trust Him and have peace because they recognize the works of God and are thankful.

Application:

This is the desire of my heart! God’s loving-kindness continues to lead me back to a place of recounting His wonderful deeds and being thankful. When I get burdened and feel out of focus, there is nothing that I am more thankful for than when the Lord pours His mercy upon my heart to just trust Him. It’s a place that produces the most satisfying thankfulness and peace that I could ever have.

Prayer:

Thank You, Jesus, for doing that for me this week. You are the best ever! Cause this verse to be me in all of life. Amen.
