Scripture:

2 Cor. 3:7-8 Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?

Observation:

Exodus tells about Moses meeting and communicating with God, and that when he came down from the mountain, his face was glowing so brightly that he had to put a veil over it so people could even talk to him! These verses are referring to that time, but now contrasting it to the glory of the Holy Spirit, which is even more glorious.

Application:

Sometimes I get caught up with the mundane things in life, complaining or whining about things that don't even matter in the long scheme of things. This verse reminds me of the GLORY of the Holy Spirit. God is so awesome, so beautiful, so incredible...so glorious. To think that I belong to Him fills me with a feeling that transcends emotions of earthly love and/or gratitude--it's a deep feeling between my Creator and the created.

Prayer:

Dear Father, Your glory is beyond all human comprehension. Sometimes I feel it and it overwhelms me; I feel Your comfort and protection, Your grace and all-consuming love. Nothing compares to You, Lord. Nothing. I love You forever. Amen.
