Scripture:

1 Samuel 13:14b ...the LORD has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him leader of his people, because you have not kept the LORD's command.

Observation:

Samuel was letting Saul know his reign was going to end and that God had already found a man after His own heart. This was a foretelling of David.

Application:

This is a good reminder for me that when I stay in God's will, then He will continue to use me and that is when I see Him working in and around me. My prayers are answered more quickly, I am surrounded by His peace, and my life is blessed. When I don’t stay in God's will, then I am faced with trials that I can’t see an end to and my prayers are hindered. I don’t want God to find someone else to do what He wants me to do. I want to remain faithful.

Prayer:

God, please help me to remain in You at all times. I want to do exactly what You want me to do. I want Your blessings on my life. Amen.
