Scripture:
1 Chronicles 9: 25-26, Their brothers in their villages had to come from time to time and share their duties for seven day periods. But the four principal gatekeepers, who were Levites, were entrusted with the responsibility for the rooms and treasuries in the house of God.
Observation:
The Levites brothers would come and help their brothers who needed them.
Application:
I picked this scripture because of the dedication, respect level, and the communication that must have been in place to have the temple run the way it was.
I have made the mistake in my home life, work and ministry, of not communicating my goals and giving clear vision. The outcome has been, at times, less than successful. I'm learning that I must be responsible in communicating these thing to get the results I'm looking for. Not only that, but getting the people excited about those results.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your Word. Thank you for the wisdom that I get from reading it. Help me to stay on task and not take on things that are not on Your list of things for me for to do. Help me to take time to get to know the people I'm working with, to love them and help them to do their job, whatever that might be, at work, home, church. Help me to bless them, Lord. Thank You, Lord, and I ask You to make these changes in me today. Amen
