Scripture:

1 Chronicles 29: 14
“But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from You, and we have given You only what comes from Your hand.”

Observation:

King David and his people gave their most valuable posessions in order to build a temple for God. Realizing that all the precious jems and metals were created by God. Though through love, joy, and faith these things are used for His glory.

Application:

I saw a man driving a Cadillac the other day with one of those darwin fish on his bumper and thought, “How do you think you achieved this wealth?” Thinking back on all the steps it would have taken him, the bottom line was God gave him the talent to achieve all the goals up to this point in his life. Even down to each breath we take the glory for is God’s! There is no pleasure in things without love, joy, and faith, most of all without our Lord.

Prayer:

Lord, I give You all the glory. Thank You for everything that You have provided for me and my family and friends. Without You I would be no one; and through You, You have made me who I am. - Amen
