Scripture:
2 Thessalonians 3:6-10 6 But Timothy has just now come to us from you and has brought good news about your faith and love. He has told us that you always have pleasant memories of us and that you long to see us, just as we also long to see you. 7 Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith. 8 For now we really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord. 9 How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you? 10 Night and day we pray most earnestly that we may see you again and supply what is lacking in your faith.
Observation:
Here Paul sent Timothy to continue to encourage and teach in Thessalonica. He was a great help to show them how to stay strong and steadfast in their faith, and that in their new faith it doesn't diminish their problems, but teaches them how to rely on God and each other to get them through.
Application:
Here again is a great example of what is going on at Father's House right now. And all we have to do is apply that and that's all God is asking of us: Love God, Love Others and Live it Out!!!! We need to encourage one another in our faith and continue to lift each other up.
Prayer:
Lord, please help me to remember these words everyday. Even when I'm having a good day and think I can do it on my own, that's when I need You the most. Thank You, Lord, for my friends in Christ that have shared with me their joys and their sorrows, and have, as well, been there for me in my time of need. In Jesus' name, Amen.
