Scripture:
Romans 4:8 Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him.
Observation:
Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for all of us. He took on all of my sins and suffered for me on that day. Because of that, all I need to do is confess my sins and believe in Him, and those sins are washed away forever.
Application:
What an unbelievable gift we have all been given. What a blessing we have received from the Lord. Our sins are forgiven and wiped away forever in God's eyes. If only we could do that for ourselves and others, forgiving each other and never dwelling again on the sin. We need to strive to be free from sin in our lives. The big things are easy, but the little everyday ways that we sin are much more difficult to control. With God’s help, we can battle sin and temptation and grow closer to Him each day.
Prayer:
Lord, I am a sinner. You know my heart and know that it is not my desire to be un-holy. No one other than Jesus has gone through their lives without sinning. Please help me and guide me each day to be the person you want me to be. Help me to battle and overcome temptation to sin against You. Renew my heart and my mind. I pray for forgiveness and protection in Your holy name, Lord Jesus. Amen
