Scripture:
Proverbs 8:12 "I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion."
Observation:
Wisdom and prudence, knowledge and discretion.
Application:
Three times in the last two days the word "prudent" has cropped up. So in reading the Bible today, guess what word pops up? They work together, you can have all wisdom and knowledge, but without the use of prudence and discretion - we can easily run aground, become pompous and overbearing. How easily can we turn people away without the discreet use of our knowledge? Without wise use of wisdom? I must measure what I say to be a good witness for God.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for all Your providence, Your watchful eye upon me. Lead me, and I pray that I may follow You with an attitude and heart of service to You. May I be a witness for You, a witness that will draw others to Your side. With a grateful heart, I thank You for all You do. Thank You!
WOW! Really cool Sherrill! So many aspects of this blog gave me food for thought! Thanks!
