Scripture:

Joel 2:21 Be not afraid, O land' be glad and rejoice.. Surely he has done great things.
Verse 25. I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten.
Verse 32. Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.

Observation:

Verse 21 Joel is telling the people of the land to be happy because God has done great things.
Verse 25: He is telling them that the Lord is going to make up for what has done to them in the past.
Verse32: Well said.

Application:

This chapter in Joel has helped me so much in the past, and as I read it again, it has strengthend my faith and has given me hope. God has not changed and does what He says He'll do. Even when I go through really tough times, I know that my Lord knows and cares about every detail, but the most important thing to Him is my obedience to Him. Sometime that is hard to do when I'm feeling hopeless. His promise is "I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten." "God is not man, that he should lie"( Numbers 23:19). So, I will rejoice and be glad that my Lord has saved me. I have called Him my Lord.

Prayer:

Thank You, Lord, for the hope you give in Your Word. Live in me and through me that I will show others the love and character of Christ. Thank You, Father, for all You have done for me. I love You. Amen.
