Scripture:

Philippians 1:22-24 If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! 23 I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; 24 but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.

Observation:

As I read these verses, I began to think about all the bible prophesy I have heard lately, and of how all of the weather-related disasters could be a foretelling sign of Christ’s returning. I know that I have the desire to depart with Christ, but what if it is meant for me to remain to be a servant for Christ?

Application:

Susie has an aunt who is very elderly and has some medical conditions that will take her to heaven soon. But until her time comes she stays needed in the body of Christ by praying for the needs of others and living a life of a Godly example for everyone that knows her. What an example.

Prayer:

Father God, If the time and place of Your returning is soon, then I do desire to be taken with You. But until then, Lord, I hope and pray that my life will be spent doing the fruitful labors that honor You. Amen
