Scripture:

Isaiah 46:4,9 Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. 9 Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.

Observation:

Who is like our God? What can compare to His goodness? This section got me thinking about the person-hood of God and the whole predestination argument (how can we have free will if God is all knowing?). Is it not possible for God to choose not to know? Jeremiah 31:34 it says that he forgets our sins. Just to be clear, this is just my hypothesis.

Application:

Since I was created with free will, I can use it for God's glory. Isaiah gives the perfect example of recognizing the Lord as my sustainer. By choosing to rest my dreams in His hands, it exalts Him. How great is it that I have that choice!

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for Your goodness and allowing me to worship You even though I am not worthy of it.
