Scripture:

2 Chronicles 30:9 ...for the LORD your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.

Observation:

This scripture is found in the Old Testament. Many believe the God of the Old Testament is harsh and full of wrath, but that the God of the New Testament is loving, gracious, and compassionate. This is not so! God is the same yesterday today and forever, and God has always been willing to receive those of His children who humbly repent and return back to Him.

Application:

The best thing to do when I fall away is to return to God with a humble heart and repent, because He is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn His face from me. Do not believe the lies of the enemy that would say anything to the contrary!

Prayer:

Lord, I thank You for Your grace and compassion. Help me to always run back to You after I fall. In Jesus' name, Amen.
