Scripture:

John 11:40 Then Jesus said, "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?"

Observation:

Jesus is telling Martha what He had told her possibly many times before, to believe in Him and He will show her marvelous things. He's referring to raising Lazarus from the dead in this passage, but I'm sure there were many other things in her life He was referring to at that moment.

Application:

I am learning so much right now about believing God and all of His Word, not just believing in Him, but who He is and what He has promised me. This scripture takes that to a new level for me. Not only does He have a plan for me, a perfect plan, but it's full of His glory. If I will trust Him with my whole life, my whole being, I will get to see His glory in my life. He will show me things that I would never dream possible, and all I have to do is surrender my will and believe that He will do the things He has said He will do. It shouldn't be that hard to believe in someone who has never lied to me, never gone back on His word, never tricked me or taken me for granted. He actually has a whole plan for my life. It's already mapped out in His mind, and with all my heart that is what I want to see.

Prayer:

My Lord Jesus, thank You for Your simple truths. I believe You Lord; show me Your glory. Help me surrender my will daily and look to You for guidance and strength. You are my source and I will look to You for all I need. I trust You with my future, and want my plans to turn into Your plans. Thank You, Lord, for being patient and sticking to Your Word. I love You. Amen.
