Scripture:

Psalm 123:1 I will lift my eyes to you, to you whose throne is in heaven.

Observation:

The author is saying that he will look to the Lord.

Application:

The entire 123rd Psalm is gently reminding me to continue to focus my eyes (mind, heart and ways) on the Lord. I enjoy being reminded of this due to the importance of it in my life. It's really the only way my life stays in alignment and in peace. When my eyes (mind, heart and ways) are set on the Lord, I will not go out into this world like a blind woman not sure of the next step, not sure of the next turn, and not sure of myself. The Lord provides confidence, security, answers, and grace. When I am earnestly seeking the Lord's ways and keeping my eyes turned up to Him, I can easily hear His voice and guidance.

Prayer:

Lord, I will lift my eyes to You, to You whose throne is in heaven. I trust You, I love You and I need more of You. As I continue to lift my eyes to You, Lord, show me the ways of my day. Guide me in the steps I am to take. Share with me the secrets of You., the secrets You have for my life. As I lift my eyes to You, Lord, I am drawn closer to You and my love for You is increased. You are my Saving God, You are my Providing God, You are the Mighty One, Alpha and Omega, the Everlasting God. I bow before Your throne and put my ways behind me today. I put You first, Jesus. -Amen
